The monthly briefing for executives to stay ahead. Insights, book reviews, and the best tools — all curated and distilled into 5 minutes.
Its online platform efficiently matches therapists with patients in a safe and personalized environment.
When Alex Vitchenko experienced depression and anxiety during the height of the pandemic in 2020, he used his extensive expertise in building digital marketplaces to create a similar platform for the mental health care space. The result was Calmerry—an online platform that allows more than 1,000 therapists to reach out to B2C and B2B patients across the United States in a safe and highly personalized manner.
“For me, it’s a very natural and organic way to start a business, especially if you have a passion for mental well-being and want to help people become emotionally stable,” says Vitchenko, founder and CEO of Calmerry. “We listen to our customers, understand their needs and have devised a very personalized and unique approach to selecting their therapist. For our health care providers, we handle the administrative, marketing and all their other requirements so they can concentrate on their patients.”
Calmerry’s unique success is built on several key features. The first is its holistic approach to promoting mental health. In addition to therapy sessions, it offers an extensive library of courses, articles, exercises and a multitrack guided journal, all free in a mobile app platform.
Calmerry’s commitment to accessibility and personalization is similarly evident. It bridges the gap between users and their first step in therapy. Finding the right therapist and choosing a methodology can be daunting, so Calmerry developed a fast and efficient human-driven matching process that allows clients to start communicating with a therapist on the same day or the next day.
Its flexible subscription models ensure users can access care when they need it. In the B2B space, the company offers tailored solutions for employers and nonprofits. Its administration panel allows employers to manage program utilization and monitor returns on investment through anonymized engagement reports, all while ensuring end-user data remains strictly confidential. Calmerry can also develop training modules, webinars and group sessions tailored to the needs of managers and employees.
Looking ahead, Calmerry welcomes investors, therapists, health care organizations and other stakeholders as it expands its reach and services. “Join us in creating a psychologically safe environment where everyone can feel heard and understood,” says Vitchenko. “We’re ready to serve anybody to make a significant difference in the world.”
